Enforcing our rights

Who are we?  We are regular folks, just like you.  We come from all walks of life, all occupations, all colors and religions. What we have in  common is that we all have fallen into some circumstance where we ended up in the legal system, civil or criminal, without an attorney (or with an attorney we wished we didn't have).  Also, we tend not to be rich and able to afford the obscene fees charged by attorneys.

We are not attorneys (lawyers who represent other people) though we have a couple of lawyers (those with law degrees but not members of the Washington Bar) and several of us are paralegals.  Most of us learned our way through the courts and the law libraries the hard way, but over time we've gained a lot of useful expertise.  Individually we have all successfully prosecuted, and many times won, cases against individuals,
businesses and even governments.   So, we do not provide legal representation or give legal advice.  At times we can assist you by providing a sample document that you can use as a template to draft your own or to modify and use as your own.   In extreme cases where multiple people are having a problem with the same source, usually a business or government, our GUERILLA LAW service can result in an intervention by bringing a class action lawsuit.

The WPSLA is essentially an information site and support group.  Its a place where you can find some basic information to help you in your pro se  legal case and where you can ask others with more experience to help you understand a legal concept or a court procedure.  You can read about other cases that may effect you on our CASES page where a recent Appellate Court opinions are discussed.

JUST FOR FUN, here is an example of how a pro se case should NOT go.  Be nice to the Judge so he/she will be nice to you.
